September @ Joliet Public Library

The Joliet Public Library has just posted their September newsletter.  Here are the highlights:
  • September is 'Library Card Sign Up Month'.   Sign up for a library card - adults get one free DVD rental and kids get coupons from local vendors.

  • Adult Book Discussion Group:  Tuesday, September 21, 10am, and Wednesday, September 15, 7pm, Black Road Branch. Discussing Infidel by Ayaan Hirsi Ali.

  • Adult Computer Basics Class:  Thursday, September 16, 7:30pm, Main Library-Lower Level. Friday, September, 17, 9:15am, Black Road Branch. Registration required. For more information or to sign up, please call 815-740-2666, ext.1050. 

  • Adult Internet Class:  Thursday, September 23, 7:30pm, Main Library-Lower Level. Friday, September 24, 9:15am, Black Road Branch. Registration required. For more information or to sign up, please call 815-740-2666, ext.1050. 

  • Anime Club:  Thursday, September 9, Black Road Branch, 6pm. Grades 7-12. No registration required. 

  • RuneScape:  Friday, September 10, 6pm, Black Road Branch. Grades 6-12. No registration required. 

  • Pokémon League:  Wednesday, September 8 and 29, 5pm, Black Road Branch. All ages. No registration required. Anyone who wants to “duel” should bring their own deck of 60 cards. 
Shorewood residents:   If you're new to Shorewood, or unfamiliar with the local libraries, Shorewood has access to two local libraries - the Shorewood Library (on Deerwood Dr. north of 59) and the Joliet Public Library (with locations in Downtown Joliet, and nearest to Shorewood on Black Road).  You can get a library card at the Shorewood library, and then get a Joliet Library sticker added to your Shorewood card to access the Joliet libraries.
