Shorewood police seeking info on suspicious white work style van, tinten windows driven by male at school bus times.

The Shorewood Police Department is seeking information on a suspicious vehicle reported in our community at school bus pickup and drop off times.  The Shorewood Police Department is asking residents to report any suspicious vehicles particularly one matching the following description:  A white style work van with dark tinted windows and without license plates drivien by a male. Vehicles matching this description particularly at bus pickup and drop off times should be reported to the Shorewood Police at 815-725-4636.

$30-50 Picnic Tables from Forest Preserve Will County

The Forest Preserve District of Will County is selling 68 surplus wooden picnic tables. All tables are used and in fair condition. Tables to be sold include eight 8' tables and sixty 12' tables. 8' tables will be sold at $30.00 each. 12' tables will be sold at $50.00 each.

Sale is one day only and will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2010, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM, at the Operations and Law Enforcement Facility, located at 22606 South Cherry Hill Road, Joliet, IL 60433.

All tables are sold as-is on a first come first serve basis and all sales are final. Cash only and tables must be removed the day of sale. Buyer is responsible for loading picnic tables.

Shorewood residents:   If you're new to Shorewood, or unfamiliar with the local libraries, Shorewood has access to two local libraries - the Shorewood Library (on Deerwood Dr. north of 59) and the Joliet Public Library (with locations in Downtown Joliet, and nearest to Shorewood on Black Road).  You can get a library card at the Shorewood library, and then get a Joliet Library sticker added to your Shorewood card to access the Joliet libraries.

Showcase Shorewood

Every month, the village of Shorewood will begin highlighting local in-home and storefront businesses. 
In an effort to promote the businesses of the Village of Shorewood, each month Showcase Shorewood will highlight one in-home business and one store-front business.

September highlights are Pinnochio Childcare and White Carriage Bridal.
